Starkey Edge AI Launch

New heights in hearing technology

When leading hearing aid technology company Starkey were looking for a suitable venue to host the launch of their ground-breaking new hearing technology Edge AI to 100+ key personnel, they needed a location that symbolised innovation. The Concorde Conference Centre near Manchester was the perfect choice. Home to the world’s most iconic and only supersonic passenger plane, Concorde remains a timeless symbol of pioneering technological advancement—an ideal backdrop for Starkey’s revolutionary product.

The challenge

Edge AI represents the culmination of years of research and development, setting a new standard in the hearing technology sector. To celebrate this innovation, Starkey envisioned an event environment inspired by the relaxed, TV studio-style atmosphere of the cult classic Top Gear.  

The MSP team was tasked with creating an immersive, high-impact setting that combined innovation, brand storytelling, and unforgettable design—all while complementing the awe-inspiring presence of Concorde.

The MSP solution

At the heart of the event was a 5m x 3m high-definition LED video wall, carefully installed beneath the aircraft’s fuselage with only a few centimetres to spare. This central display delivered stunning visuals and engaging content to captivate the audience. To enhance the experience, two smaller 1.5m x 3m LED screens flanked the main wall, displaying complementary content. LED wash lights bathed the space in brand colours, using the aircraft’s underside to create a visually striking and cohesive environment.

“The exhibition space at the conference is quite large, naturally, to accommodate such a massive aircraft,” explained Project Co-ordinator Iain Morrison from MSP. “Our goal was to design an intimate yet open plan setting where the presentations could take place seamlessly.”

The results
